Title: Level at Champlain is dropping
Post by: KellyM on May 20, 2008, 09:32:23 PM
The level this evening was 15. The eddy at the wall is pretty much done. Paddlers are using the rope to get up to the wave. If you are like me and could be rolling anywhere in the wave train, you will more than likely encounter rocks at some point.

Hey Kelly... Are you sure it's that low now? The Britannia gauge does not work right now, but I went on April 5, it was then at 3.5 (Britannia gauge). No eddy, we launched off the snow bank. I rolled a few times that day without hitting anything. See attached picture.

Anyway, I'll be there tomorrow. The 1st wave might be nice to surf, certainly the big wave (hole) will be friendly enough. And you will tuck in when upside down...
