Don't forget the rodeo, probably on Sewer Wave or Desh?nes wave is tuesday at 6pm. I'll post the exact spot tomorrow in the am. Prizes for everyone! This is a Joe-Jane rodeo, no pros, though pros will be there to coach us! Brendan Ginter is organizing these rodeos, good river Karma for him! Come one, come all, see your old favorites like Paul Spinning, Grahame Windowshading, Louis Burying his Nose etc... Mark Dubois blunting and Annie Valade will be participating too!!! Maybe our Most Esteemed Master of Class 9 Gnarr-Gnarr and Carthwheel and Blunts Magician Larry Wong will make a guest appearance, who can tell?....

If coming from Ontario...turn right as soon as you cross the bridge....go to the second stop sign (Store has orange canopy)....go straight to the big statue holding a paddle....get out of you car, walk past the big statue holding a paddle and you are at sewer wave....I used these very directions today and enjoyed some fun surfs.......
Cheers,
Chris

Another way to get there if you cross from Chaudi?re bridge or Du Portage bridge:
Go on Alexandre-T?ch? BLV in Hull, go west towards Aylmer. After you pass the University of l'Outouais, go down the hill, still on Alexandre-T?ch?, at the Subway along the way, turn immediately left and go straight to the end of the road, where you will have to stop at the river. There is a statue in front of the river and the wave is just below where yuo can see it.
Hope this helps too,
Paul

The name of the road off Lucerne is Begin.
So, if coming from Ottawa on the Champlain bridge, turn right on Lucerne (first right), then turn right again at Begin to the end and a park.
Put in is right downstream of the sewer.

Begin is a pretty cool little street. It has the entrance to Gatineau part on one end and a sweet wave on the other.

It looks like surfboarders have found that wave as well...
Photos are distorded, but still revealing.

I wonder if we put a set of skateboard wheel under our kayak if we could start from the top of the Gatineau range and zip past Begin street and up on the wave...
Sweet.

Due to popular request and dropping water levels tonight's rodeo/clinic will be held at the Sewer wave.

The wave was super-friendly last night. I'll be a threat to the competition with my mad spinning skills!
I'll be there slightly after 6 if the commute goes smoothly. See y'all there!

The rodeo was a lot of fun. Can't wait for the next one. Rumors are that the next one will be a hucking rodeo at Qyon Falls!
