This Week will be the Huckfest at trick or treat falls on the quyon creek at 6:30 PM. For those who've never been, this is the perfect first waterfall with an easy run in and no consequences. 6-8 feet high with a deep pool and no suck back.
There will be lots of prizes and free instruction. All ages and categories welcome.
The falls are located on the quyon creek, just below hwy 148. Park on the side of the road by the bridge and walk down 100 meters to the drop.
See you there

Hey!
I'd love to go--but have no way of getting there. Would there be anyone willing to pick me up in Sandy Hill? I need to try my new helmet... My phone # is 613-355-2470. I'll buy the beer...

Dr Chris,
Add an "S" to beer and you are on.

Good!
We're on.
For everyone's benefit--last year I was a beginner (no kidding), and at this time of the year I went there and ran the little waterfall about 15 times one evening. Lots of fun, not scary at all. And in a 55 gallon boat!

Boy! What a riot!
After about half a dozen passes at it, we aimed to better each weirder attempt.
Throwing a paddle at the edge, without skirt, without paddle, without paddle nor skirt, without the boat...
Forward, backward, side ways, 180, 360...
Grahame even tried a loop at the edge.
The only one not attempted was upside down....I wonder why???
We even had a "never have paddled before" have a go at it as well...brave girl...
Lot's of fun!
Thanks Brendan et al!

Here are some great photos, kindly snapped by Jodie, who couldn't play... Hopefully her broken bones will heal fast!

That was a fun night.

Just so people do not get confused here, Jodie was wearing a cast already when we hooked up with them at 18h30.
Something about a wild party and some missed whacking... ???
