Title: When is the AGM? Whose hosting?

Hi All,

Usually in November we have an AGM. Has this been decided as of yet? Sat. Nov.8 or Nov.15, might be good days to choose... Any one willing to host?  We should decide soon so people can mark it in their calendars. Get those recipes ready for the pot luck and your videos for the post eating event.

I heard a few things through the grape-wine.
Might want to reserve evening of Nov 8th. I did.

We should be hearing from Bill for an official announcement once the thing is settled and official.
He has been making the arrangements and coordination...got to keep him busy... 8)
Probably eager to show the scars and tell the whole story...
Maybe we can stage a reenactment - I am very much a visual person.

I, for one, is like St-Thomas, I'd need to slide my hand in his side, ok, at least hear the story first hand.
And give him a big bear hug... ;)

Hi folks,

It's that time of the  year. The Club will have it's Annual General Meeting (AGM) Saturday, November 8, 2008, starting at  6:30pm. As usual it will be a potluck dinner so bring your favourite(s) to show off and share with others. Please have your delectables suitably heated in advance in your own serving tray, with your own serving utensils. Other utensils and plates will be provided.

Julia Hardwick has once again generously offered to host the party at her home.

Please bring your chequebook to renew your membership and reserve your place for the winter paddling sessions at Plant Pool. Additionally we still have some  Fleece Hoodies with the CdB logo available for sale.

Last but not least, we will be choosing a new executive so feel free to nominate likely deserving candidate/s.

I am not familiar with the nominations procedures for the club.
I mostly missed the AGM last year. Was there a vote?
I had to fly right through.
This year, I plan to attend a bit longer.
(Maybe long enough for a song.)

I would also like to propose a candidate for our president position.
Someone whom everyone knows, likes and respects and who is always there when we need or seek help or guidance.

I'd like to nominate our dear Mr William Schlarb for president.

BTW, Thanks to Julia for again accepting to have her house invaded with lunatics for an evening.
And I hope she didn't get into trouble with the FAA last year, following my fly-by.

I will be bringing a desert since I wont have time to cook anything unless I break out the Coleman stove on the sidewalk.
