OK Kiddies,
So here is the deal. The AGM meeting is at Julia's hous on the saturday night.
I am willing to make the 5.5 hour drive to come to the meeting on the following conditions:
1. the weather is nice
2. we go paddling in the afternoon as a group at the Pumphouse.
I have never been there before and thought it would be fun to try out.
So who is in?
-
Should be fun. I'm in!
Paul ;D

That would be fun! At least one more time on the water. Except that after last weekend's run, I left all my gear to air out/dry on my balcony... and it's all frozen solid at the moment. Let's hope I can do something about it before Saturday.

Well you have until two saturdays from now ... this weekend is the 1st not the 8th!
-
Put you gear inside, it might smell but you'll get over it... I think!
Paul :o

"...it might smell..."
It does...

Ok ... so here is the scoop so far.
Long range forescast is +11 and rain. As long as it is above 0 and not snowing I will most likely be there.
If I come I have a place to crash as a friend (non-paddler) of mind will be doing a roadtrip with me to visit his brother and we will be staying with him.
I will confirm by wednesday whether I will make the long trek to the lovely city of Ottawa.
So far there is Paul and ChristianG.
Any other people coming to play or what?
Where exactly is the Pumphouse and where do you park?

OK ... so I am now coming ... how about we propose a time of 13:30?
-
Great! So Colin, you do have a place to crash?
Paul... Can I ask... Again... Can you pick me up at home on your way to the Pumphouse? I have a small boat, doesn't take much room... Please...

It's going to rain tonight and tomorrow. The Pump House is transformed into a sewer when it rains. By sewer I mean literally brown sludge, foul smelling with assorted interesting debris floating in on top. I know, I was there last Saturday when it rained and it was disgusting. I was told by other RR members that no one paddles there when there is rain and I should of listened.
So if it does rain, I suggest we go to Britania wave. maybe Mark D can lead us there and show us moves on the wave? We can always meet at the Pump House, look at it and then decide?
Paul ;D
-
Sure ... that is fine with me ... i will do what the group decides
-
3.16 at Britannia--there'll be somewhere to play for sure... Will be ready for 13:00.

The rain is supposed to stop at noon tomorrow, so there may be a chance that the water will clear enough to paddle the Pump House still. It only takes an hour or so for it to clear....

Fortunately Mark, the wind had a slight north-east edge to it :D, so we went to the Pump House and had two hours of fun. Next time, hope you can join us!
Paul :)
