Why not? The dam operators seem to have stabilised it around 3.5-3.6. What about ice? Paul, give me a call tomorrow. I will have access to a car (with room for only one boat), but it's more fun to carpool. I'll buy you a much needed warm soup afterwards if you come pick me up... But this weekend I can get there on my own if needed.

D?sol? Christian,
I'm coming down with a cold so I think I'll wait until I'm better and for a bit warmer weather too. Mark D said he might go so post it here he might answer. I'd go and look if I feel up to it though.
Colds suck!

just a bit of ice on the shore edge but no big deal at all, fairly warm and sunny, wave was excellent, cristian dropped by and took photos he will post. will let you know if I head next weekend.

Glad you had fun,
I'm looking forward to next weekend then!

Yes, the wave was really nice. I should have brought my gear. The only problem I could see would be if you were blown off the wave and had to paddle down to the eddies downstream. Since they are lined with ice, it would have taken a bit of wrestling to climb out of the water. Next weekend, then!
For some reason, I can only attach one picture at a time. What's going on?

Nice pictures !
I went down stream once or twice , was no big deal at all though , I like to intentionally come of the wave after a few minitues , this way you don't fall of the wave and pushed way downstream.
peel in that eddie FAST ! "a foot closer upstream can mean 20 feet saved downstream ! "
