The weather looks promissing, 8 Celsius and sunny so who want's to paddle at either Champlain or Sewer (I've discounted Deschenes because the ice shelf is too close for comfort). We can go look and decide which is best. This is not a beginner kind of paddle at all. Only experienced paddlers with proper attire please. You know who you are...

I am in... exam is friday and I will be itching to get out!!! Was that dig directed at me for forgetting my drytop back in Nov. ;)
If anyone needs a ride I have a seat and an empty box in the back of the truck. You know who you are...

Hey Ian, that had completely slipped from my mind...
Hey how come your smileys work?
Paul:-)
-
I'd be in too. Ian, do you still have my extra skirt? Paul, as usual, if you come pick me up, I'll buy you a bowl of warm soup afterwards...
I'd say Sewer Wave. The level now is just above 3.5, and the picture below of the 2nd wave at Champlain was taken at precisely that level a little over a week ago. Not much there to surf and too much ice below.

I am glad you forget about my slip-up. At least I did not need it that day :)
Are you jealous that my smiley's work?? I have not Idea what I did differently from you. :/
I have tried adding in a couple here.... no spaces in between or quotes ":" ")" and the second was ":" "/". If they work that is how I got them.
Cheers!!

Christian, I do have your skirt. It os behind the seat of my truck as we speak.... that way I cannot forget it. I can pick you up.
:| :) ;) :}

Sewer wave is the best deal , its perfect right now . no ice worries either. I'm pretty sure I will head out .

Alright!
Ian, just call me either Friday night or Saturday, 613-355-2470.
That's even earlier than last year for me, first time I went was March 23 2008.

COOL!! I can't wait to see how he paddles with that HUGE helmet on. I suppose with the force at his disposal he should be able to throw some amazing moves sans paddle!!
I will call you Christian
-
I might head up there on Saturday but there's only one problem.
How do I get to sewer wave?
-
Guys,
Lets meet up at Champlain first and check it out. I drove by yesterday, no ice downstream, nice looking waves with foam piles and an eddy. If it does not look good then we head down to sewer wave which is 2 seconds away!
Cheers,
Paul

Eric, the picture below should help you find the wave. You park at the end of Begin st. in Gatineau. The wave is directly across from Tuney's Pasture.

Paul . ,there is no eddie at champlain at this level . ,

Yeah,
I went to look again today, my bad.... But I will stop at Champlain first just to check it out, since there is a rope there and Gu?tan will join us there first. If I'm not at Sewer wave at 2pm, it's because I'm waiting for Gu?tan and ?ric and will be at Sewer shortly thereafter...See you guys tomorrow!

Wow, that was fun! Lot's of paddlers there, not one swim, though I got to finally practice my roll. Sweet!

Hi Mark,
I'd have to be at the wave at 4:30 am to get to work on time, sorry!
Have fun,

-
Mark,
Let me know when you will be pulling your 530am paddles. I would be game if my schedule works.

Ian,
What was it again you needed fiberglass supplies for? If it's a small amount, I'll give you some of what I have. Anyway, the place to buy the stuff is called The Chandlery,
http://www.thechandleryonline.com/
That's off Richmond, essentially where it crosses Carling.
