Hi folks,
We're looking to run something in the Laurentians on Saturday.
The destination will be posted late Friday afternoon or so.
Sorry for the delay but with levels falling fast, it's getting very hard to find
anything runnable. Suggestions so far have been the Upper Ouareau or the Diable.
We're heading up to the Diable on Saturday, meeting in Mont-Tremblant at 11:00 AM
at the location Larrry posted below. It's a class III- IV river with some portages.
It's about a 2 1/4 hour drive from Ottawa.
Check out http://www.myosis.ca/fi_diable.htm for details
Contact me at wwpaddler@gmail.com or (613) 224-8507 after 6:00 PM Friday.

I vote for the Diable

is a good place to meet ... parking lot with the Porte du Soleil chair
corner of Chemin des Voyaguers and Duplessis
The Diable is a short run with the description on Myosis.ca ... it is also a shorter drive. The hwy 50 goes to thurso and hwy 323 bypasses Lac des Plages
As you look out the window today it is really nice and sunny ... Unfortunately the weather takes a nose dive for the weekend

Larry, can I hitch a ride with you tomorrow? Rob

Have fun guys. If you continue on with the lower section, you can take out at a SPA (Le Scandinave, http://www.scandinavetremblant.com/en/) and enjoy the hot waters...

Both rivers sound good to me.
Count me in.
I will be late getting home tonight.

Tired.
With the distance and weather predicted, I think I will sleep in tomorrow and then do yard/car work, then maybe go hit Champlain and/or Paul behind the head.
Keep Sunday for an out day.
night, night.
