Title: Going Stir crazy!
Post by: windowshade on June 27, 2009, 10:04:23 PM
Hey John or anyone,

I haven't paddled for a week now and I'm going stir crazy ::)! I think my bloody thumb may be healed enough to chance a paddle at the Pump House. I'm using some liquid bandage which should be waterproof, I hope! Anyone want to paddle at the Pump House or even surf at Champlain (you'd need a long boat..., slalom or at least 7 plus feet long)

Let me know...

Paul :o

Hey Paul,

I'd like to go to the pumphouse - never been. Maybe sometime tomorrow (June 29th). Anytime is good for me.

Anyone else interested?
Eric

HI Eric,

Not sure about tomorrow. I spent two frustrating hours today, trying to front surf BYOB, while our VP was having fun on it without any difficulty like a baby with a lollipop... ::)

I must be getting rusty!

OK Paul,

Let me know when the rust wears off and we can go.

Talk to you soon,
Eric

You're just getting old, Paul, that must be it...
(well, hold on, aren't I older than you are???)

I was testing out my latest adjustments to my new old All Star (already out of vogue and superseded by the newer generation).
I gutted out the happy feet and removed about 2/3 of those beans.
I also trimmed the CG so I could have enough space for my small butt and my long legs.
Ah, and I also tested my repairs on my Aqua Bound; the one that lost a blade from a shaft that split on the Gatineau the Sunday before.
I re-epoxied the blade in (laminating epoxy) and bind both ends with Kevlar...

After you left, Brad and I kept at it for a while.
I think we paddled until about 17h30.
The old pop enjoyed his lollipop.

Is your sliced thumb all eaten up by cellulitis, yet?
