Hi all,
If you are planning to participate in the many events in the upcoming King of the Clubs down river on the Main Channel (level at around 1 right now)this Saturday, please read, download and sign the waiver I'm including in this message and bring it with you Saturday. There might be a small cost to participate, like $5. I'll bring a few extra copies of the waiver with me to River Run for those who forget or don't get this message. You don't need to sign the waiver if you do not wish to participate in the events. I for one will probably not participate, but will go down river as I am very rusty.
It would be nice if someone would represent us though. I think Larry and Ray, Dave and Louis, plus Bill, Don, Jim, Tibor, Peter and Robert of course, should be some of our proud representatives. David from Toronto, and his sons, are already there and seem keen to represent us too. On the ladies' side it would be great if Wendy, Sarah, Liz and Liz and Annie, plus Heather and Sandra would show our proud colours, they all have paddled a lot this summer and are honed to a very, very fine razor's edge, I'm sure. I apologize in advance if I'm missing someone..., haven't seen you guys and gals in a while...
All are welcome of course, if only to share your compagny on the river and not to compete!
I'm meeting Karina at Champlain Bridge at 7:15 am, Saturday, and we should depart no later than 7:30am, in order to be at River Run at 9am. Please post if you'd like to join us. No phaffing allowed...

RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS ASSUMPTION OF RISKS AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT
By signing this document you will waive certain legal rights, including the right to sue.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
AWARENESS AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK
I am aware that Whitewater paddling involves risk including risk of personal injury, death, property damage, expense and
related loss, including loss of income. Included in these risks are negligence on the part of Whitewater Ontario (add name
of Club sanctioned to run event), its directors, officers, officials and volunteers, other participants and owners of the
facilities where the activities occur (referred to in the rest of this agreement as ?Whitewater Ontario AND OTHERS?). I
freely accept and fully assume all such risks and the possibility of personal injury, death, property damage, expense and
related loss, including loss of income.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT
In consideration of Whitewater Ontario accepting my application to participate in this activity, I agree:
1. To waive any and all claims that I may have in future against Whitewater Ontario AND OTHERS.
2. To release the Whitewater Ontario AND OTHERS from any and all liability for any personal injury, death, property
damage, expense and related loss, including loss of income that I or my next of kin may suffer as a result of my
participation in this activity, due to any cause whatsoever, including negligence, breach of contract or breach of any
statutory duty of care.
3. To hold harmless and indemnify Whitewater Ontario AND OTHERS from any and all liability for any damage to
property of, or personal injury to, any third party, resulting from my participation in this activity.
4. That this agreement is binding on not only myself but also my next if kin, heirs, executors, administrators and assigns.
I HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT AND UNDERSTAND IT. I AM AWARE THAT BY SIGNING THIS DOCUMENT I AM WAIVING
CERTAIN RIGHTS WHICH I OR MY NEXT OF KIN, HEIRS, EXECUTORS, ADMINISTRATORS AND ASSIGNS MAY HAVE AGAINST
WHITEWATER ONTARIO AND OTHERS.

Hi all,
I'd like to join you guys on Saturday, not for the race, but just to have people to paddle with...
I live in Montreal so I don't know many people in the club. I'm a member though and paddled with a few people in CdB a couple summers ago.
I'll look for the group at River Run at 9am.

Sorry, going to be at the releases in NY that weekend. Bad scheduling on the organizers part :)

Louis and Bill, Karina as well as Jack T and David Chun and his sons will be at River Run, tomorrow, Saturday at 10am+-. From there, we'll run either the Main or the Middle, since the level seems to be going up again, up to 2 and a half as of now. We will not participate in the King of the Clubs race but do our own thing.
Carpooling: Meet at Eagleson park and ride, off highwhay 417 at 8:30am (I will be at River Run at 9am to pick up a boat and will wait for you guys and gals.)
