Assuming the level holds low, I'd love to check out the Main for the first time in a while early on Saturday.
Looking to put-in around 9:30ish. If this sounds interesting to you, please let me know!
All the best,
Pat

I heard that the levels are going up.
With the nice forecast this week, likely to go up indeed.

Ottawa level -1 1\4 as of today!

Hey Pat and Steph,
I was on the Ottawa yesterday. Still a good level to run the main.
I'm not sure of my weekend plans yet, but I'm thinking of joining you guys. It has been a while since I paddled with you and it is always a lot of fun.
I'll confirm tomorrow

I told the wife I was going kayaking on Sat.
Just have to be back around 18h00 to go and pick up a daughter ending her work shift at that time.
So an earlier departure sounds good to me.

Hey... Louis, if you come pick me up (and bring the ramps...), I'll be very happy to join in! Free parking for months must be worth at least a ride... Ha Ha!

I will keep you guys posted, still not sure on my plans but if we can get a trip together I'll do my best to be there!
Steph can't make it as she has an appointment that can't be missed, but I'm still thinking about going!
Keep me posted!

Paul - if I'm in, I'd say put-in at 9:30-10ish. Want to be home in time for dinner! :)

I'll see what the weather is for tomorrow and post tonight.
Hopefully I will make it.

Please confirm here later today and I'll check the forum this evening!
Driving to Ottawa area for the weekend later today, will bring my kayak in case we've got a trip going.
Best,
Pat

Dave Howlett and I could be in too, if there's a go...

Rendez-vous point for me should be Eagleson park&drive
as I have to pick up my daughter at Saunders farm right after. 18h00 -> Opposite direction all the way.
I'll be driving to Manotick late this evening, have a short sleep, then open them eyes just enough to get to Eagleson on automatic.
Say 8h00am @ Eagleson Park&Drive.
Let's see if I remember to put the ramps somewhere...

I'll go. Not clear where do we setup shuttle. How about 9:30 at RR gate? If there is a different plan please someone clarify here (... or honk at the cars waiting at RR).

There were 7 of us who went down the Main Channel today, Pat, Louis, Larry, Robert, Dave, Jack and I. We all had a great time, the level was awesome and the poutine afterwards delicious.
The antics of a certain member with a brand new WaveSport Project 52 boat were worth watching! Attempted front loops, turned into Air Cartwheel's, multiple spins, blunts were amazing. The best part was watching this certain member negotiate rapids he usually aces, flip multiple times and that very special time at Junior Push Button wave where he flipped and had to try the roll up 4 times. Pat and I were certain that we were witnessing a very rare occurrence indeed. Would this be the one time where this certain member would finally swim.... :o?! NO...., sigh... ::) he ended upright. Oh well, next time I'm bringing the camera just in case. He did say he would quit his day job to camp out at the Lorne where he could hone his newfound hot playboater skills, try to get sponsored, join a hippie boaters commune, and most importantly practice his rolling skills ;D.
Some of these events may have been exaggerated somewhat... and some factual information may be the fruit of the narrator's vivid imagination, but not the rolling ;) or the Air cartwheel :o.
