Hi folks,
With the summer-like weather we're getting, there isn't too much in the way of spring rivers but it's not July yet....
Friday April 2
A few of us would like to get out tomorrow and here are a few options
- Moose river in NY, running just under 5' on the McKeever gauge, class 3-4
- Hudson River in NY, running at 6' on the North Creek gauge but it's hard to tell if water is being
released into the Indian River so getting to the Hudson could be an issue
- Lower Madawaska, running around 100 cms good running level with some nice play spots.
- Petite Nation, running at 30 cms; a good warmup run if you haven't been out yet
Contact me at home after 6:00 PM tomight at (613) 224-8507
Saturday April 3
We are going to run the Lower Petawawa starting at the Gravel Pit in (Google/GPS co-ordinates
45.887559,-77.309933), Meet time will be 10:30 . The Lower Pet is class 3-4 and is a great mix of river running and play spots. If you need more info or want to share a ride call me at home after 8:00pm on Friday night.
Monday April 5
Some people have expressed interest in going back to the Great Chazy in NY since the levels have risen nicely.
It's a class 3-4 river with 2 larger drops that can be carried around , 2.5 hour drive from Ottawa
Call me Sunday afternoon or evening for more info.

The Lower Mad works for me Friday April 2. I will be in Palmer tonight 613-758-2652. I just need a shuttle buddy to make it a go. Just let me know what time.

Woohoo!!! My kind of easter.

Well, Sara and I are definitely in for Saturday. I'm in for Monday too. I'm also in for Sunday too if people want to go play in town/Quyon/whatever.
Friday, we have a dinner party so the only options would need to be nearby: in town, Petite Nation, Quyon, Blakeney (??) etc...

I'll be sleeping in Montreal tonight and looking to run something Friday or Saturday, but not likely both days due to family commitments...
Unless we do something local Sat, like Qyuon.
Based on this Petite Nation on Friday seems a good candidate for me, being mostly on the way to Ottawa...
As this was my first ever outing with the club, it would be interesting to see if I progressed since then...
Maybe I should do Lower Pet on Sat...
Actually is that the same section as the City section? (language limitation preventing me from catching that joke Paul) and the HOHW?
Might be curious to see that Kevin guy catching beer cans with his face. ;)
But not overly curious...
(Might combine that with a visit to Habitat 67 Friday morning.)

"Actually is that the same section as the City section?"
Yes. The Town Run. Not quite the City Run, as we're talking about Petawawa. At least that's what I think Phil said to Paul...
What about tonight, Champlain/Sewer?

I'd like to paddle somewhere in town Friday afternoon and I think I'm in for the lower pet Saturday.

Hey Bill,
Friday and Monday might work for me. I'll need to bum a ride off someone as the golf died this winter.
I'll call you later tonight.
