I was below the ruins yesterday and there is a huge hole in the downstream wall right beside Lower J.J.s. I don't remember it being there in the past. Is the gap in the wall new, or has my memory finally snapped?
Does anyone know if Lower J.J.s is surfable yet? Has anyone tried getting onto it with the big gap in the downstream wall? ???
Let me know if you know. Thanks.

I think, from looking at it 1 week ago, that the level is still too high. There seemed to be no easy access to the shallow wave. The picture below shows the ruins in September 2007, from the little island above. Is this the hole that you mention?

No the hole is actually bigger than that one and it on river left, right next to the wave, on both the downstream side and right beside the wave. It looks like only the corner support is holding up what is left of that section of the ruin.

Ok... That's new, since I looked at it last week and did not notice anything strange. Will have to investigate! --C.
