Selling my Booster paddle and skirt tomorrow AM so I can save up for next spring!

Ill try and borrow some gear from a buddy and try and make it as I dont want my last paddle session to be the one i had tonight at champlain. Training wave is rather gone and flushy ans so is the Center one. My session was rather boring! haha. (Sorry dont wanna mudd your thread :p)

Have fun!

Steve,
I'd like to join up with you guys. Do we just meet at the put-in at noon or is anyone interested in car-pooling from Eagleson? I've got room for one more person and boat. My cell phone is 613-898-0466.

Let's meet at the River Run gate at 11:30 and we can decide from there.
I drive from Carp so don't go near Eagleson on the way.
We were thinking of just doing from McKoys to pushbutton.
We will be videoing different lines in Mckoys and some surfing in Phils,
Horseshoe and Babyface and Garb if the levels are good plus whatever
carnage results.
I'll post a message in the morning if the meeting time changes a bit.

Steve, How safe is it to surf Phils hole??... Ive never been stuck in a hole / been beatdowned etc.. But ive seen alot of videos of people getting a beatdown on purpose.. Perhaps with all of you guys present, tomorrow would be a good time to "get the feeling" if its relatively safe?? etc...

It's quite safe. Left side Phils flushes you out pretty quickly. It's actually
hard to stay in below -2, somewhat stickier now that the levels are up. We'll show
you the video and you can always watch a couple attempts before you decide.
Right side is somewhat stickier so try not to go there but the keener camp does
it on purpose so....

I would like to thank ChristianG for lending me some gear and making this last season run possible for me! Id also like to say sorry again for breaking the backband strap!   ::) It was an awesome run! Took different lines than the last time and im glad I did and that Chrsitian showed me! Overall it was the best paddle of my summer! I had a blast! :D

It was great indeed. Since everyone was late, we all ended up at the put-in at the same time! Steve had  the cool helmet, borrowed from John Mason... The water is cooling down, BTW. Dry tops recommended.

Babyface was good but bumpy, not smooth at all. Pushbutton was very short and steep, good for spins but watch for that nose catching water! But the highlight was definitively Garburator. Easy to catch, quite smooth in fact. Got a couple good surfs (but short--Robert was watching from shore), but there was no one else there so I floated down to Pushbutton.

Apart from the defective backband in my old Booster, there were no mishap. And I had brought insurance: a 4-piece paddle... Too bad I didn't have it a few weeks ago...
