I am just back Costa rica,
Hotel Interamericano, the kayaker spot with the famous Mario and his guides that rent kayak,
I did the Rio Balsa, le Rio Pejibaye (15 km et 19 rapides) and.. the lower Pacuare (30km, 48 rapides)

mostly creeking in a dagger nomad  Fun trip!
Almost ready for the spring... cold water  grrr...

sounds like a nice trip ,I remember doing the lower pacuare 5 days in a row , did you eat at soda burbuhas?

back-deck roll: just in calm water because there was a lot of rock...  creeking!

Burbuhas:  i am not sur Mark!
We eat on the native side,  the have build nice little shelter  and in exchange the raft team  give the food left-over
