Title: Playfair section of the Mississippi
Post by: Jim Swabey on April 14, 2011, 06:40:42 PM
Is anyone interested in running the Mississippi this weekend? The Playfair section is a great warm up for the season with easy class II and III rapids. The run is about 4-5 miles long and takes 2-3 hours counting play time. This is a spring run that only has good water for a couple of weeks.

Hi Jim, I know we talked about this before.  I'm 50-50 if I can make it or not.  Depends on how it fits with other family events.  Do you have a planned day/time?

Sorry Jim, today's not going to work for me for a number of reasons that are all adding up.  Sunday is not looking much better for me either, but I'll let you know if that changes.

No problem Peter, weather is cold and a section of my backyard fence fell down so I'll be working my home job jar this weekend.  With all the rain coming next week the rivers should stay high for next weekend.
