Title: Sat June 25th _ Local paddling
Post by: Larry W on June 23, 2011, 10:37:17 PM

Anybody interested in heading up to the Ottawa on Saturday?
not sure of the level

How about 11 am at the take-out?

Hopefully by the time we get on the river, the first wave of rafts have floated downstream

Would you be willing to do the Middle again Larry? The level is at 2 right now according to the OKS site.

Hi Larry

I'd be interested in the Main. If it drops any more, PB might be in.

Is that Riverrun takeout or the one above it?

Hi

Takeout - we will be using the WT takeout for this trip.
We can meet up at the RR gate house at 10:55 am and then move over to the WT takeout ... especially if there are participants unfamiliar on how to find the bottom of McCoy road.

As for what channel. Who knows what the level will be like tomorrow? The flood gates just might be opened with all the rain.
Paul: most likely the Main if the level stays at 2 or lower.

Sitting on the fence since the levels aren't at their prime. Answer the following question ...How can you practice the techniques involved in whitewater kayaking, when the boat and you stay at home?

Larry Quoted: "Answer the following question ...How can you practice the techniques involved in whitewater kayaking, when the boat and you stay at home?"

Answer: I won't be practicing the  techniques involved in whitewater kayaking since the boat and me will  stay at home this weekend... The thumb on the one hand and the other scrapped up other hand are just not up for it...:(

Have fun Ladies and Gentlemen, whichever Channel you chose!

Paul :)
