I seem to remember that there were talks of running the Rouge this Saturday, the Seven Sisters section (but not the falls!). Judging from the gauge, the level should be just below 50, so it should be about the same as last time we ran it. In other words it's still challenging, but as Dani, Liz, Daniel and others can attest, in a good way: no one swam!
So why don't we do it? It would give mr. Marc Blais something to do while he's got time to do it! Typically we meet at 10:00 at the Tim Horton's in Hawkesbury, or 10:30 at the take out on road 148 just east of the bridge over the Rouge. Or at 8:15 at my place, 87 Goulburn.
I'm sure we'll discuss this tomorrow over refreshments, but I wanted to float the idea beforehand, since an old friend who hasn't paddled in a few years would join us there if it's a go (he knows the river inside and out). Regards,

What time do you figure you'd wrap up this little adventure on Saturday? I'd be up for it but have to be back in Ottawa at 5pm or so.

Well... Without scouting anything, this run takes less than 2 hours to do... So I say yes, there is a chance that it'd be wrapped up by 3 pm, but I offer no guarantee however.

If i run the rouge..itll be Sunday for me! Basically the sisters canyon and then perhaps scout the falls and run a few of them if around 40 and less.. Then probably some laps on a sweet 50 foot slide on the blanche!

Since it will be my last free weekend for the season, I'd be interested in joining you, although I definitely did not like the long portage and the seal launch...
Car sharing would be great, so I'll meet you at your place, Christian?

Ha! But you did a good job in that seal launch, I have it on video! You don't have to do it, you can put in just below by climbing down the rocks... We'll discuss everything at Whispers tonight, then I'll get back to you! --C.

Ok. It's a go, see above for details. The downtown people can meet at my place at 8:15 Saturday morning to figure out the carpooling stuff!

Ok... My friend vincent MAY have brought the wrong skirt for his Habitat 80. Can people bring extra skirts if possible? Just in case...
UPDATE: Bill has an extra skirt for that boat.
