So.. The ottawa is at +3.5 and the Rouge at 63 cms.
Anyone paddling this weekend?

I consider going out Sunday. Caro is, as ever, willing. I have to survive this week though.

Sounds good! I have some people from Montreal that I think are going to run the rouge seven sisters canyon!..Not sure of their plans yet! But the Ottawa sounds just as fun! The main is nice and big, yet forgiving!

If we go to the rouge.. I actually want to stop and scout the rapids.. take our time...take pictures..Even set safety if needed! Most likely at the washing machine!
Last Time I ran it.. it was quick.. during a thunderstorm.. and blind. All went well...theres nothing you cant scout from your boat... but it also wouldve been fun to take time and enjoy the scenery! :)
If we get a big enough group, it could make for an awesome day out on the river!

If my playboating mission falls through, I'd do les sept soeurs again. I chickened out of the washing machine at 69, and have been kicking myself ever since. If it's 63, I really should execute it.

As long as there is someone with a throwbag below and another boater than is confident enough to chase a boat if a swim occurs... Then its all good! :) I bailed on running the seventh sister last time I was there... Ive been kicking myself ever since too! HAHAHA

Then it's setup, let's go Sunday!!! I have done the Rouge 20 years ago in a big raft, I have no memory about it except the big canyon wave that we watch ashore, we were not allowed to do it but it left a big impression on me. So I'm all in for some scouting and chances to chicken out.
Any suggestion for a meeting point?

No! haha wasnt my intention! Just letting her know its not the big maneater wave from the upper canyon!
Sunday will be awesome fun! Trying to get some guys from the CCKEVM and some open boaters to come too! The more the merrier!! ;D

Hey! Is everyone still in for this outing!? I have yet to find a boat or someone to carpool with. I just wanna make sure everyones stil in for this before i make arrangements to borrow a boat. And find a ride if possible. Please comfirm your presence :)

Yes! Caro did a very nice and prompt rescue at the washing mashine! no one from our group though! Some girl that was stuck in the room of doom next to the meaty stuff! :) Both the girls ran the Mushroom and the dryer! Well,.. one of them out of her boat but thats no big deal! She had awesome lines the rest of the day! Awesome day on the river! I ran the washing mashine blind again.. Followed Marcos.. he eddied out right above it.. I kept going! He yelled BOOF!!!! and thats just what I did and styled it! ;D Glad i took this line! And I LOVE the Villain! Amazing boat!

The "some girl" was Marie-Lou from our party.
Paddlers from our party were all New World guides except for Marco and I.
Glad I could catch up with you guys|gals and chat at the washing machine and at the takeout.
JN, Daniel, please, send me your cell numbers as my phone does not have a plan allowing me to retrieve it from your call.
I sent Dr Christian a message after Marco sent me a message 20 min before I left to meet with him and transfer the goods. Gnrrr!

Well, I had all prepared my gear Saturday, but woke Sunday morning at 7:30, and realised that my wrist pain wasn't going away. I saw a specialist today about it, so we'll see how that goes.
