Hi folks,
For those interested, a group of us are headed to the Lower Laurentians to run the Achigan.
It`s a class 3-4 river with a mix of pool/drop and continuous rapids.
You can find a description at http://www.cartespleinair.org/Canot/05/AchiganLeduc2003.pdf
Plans are to meet at the Tim`s in Hawkesbury at 9:00 am (45.61045,-74.604948) and drive to New Glasgow, Qc from there.
The meeting spot in New Glasgow is at the following location: 45.834189,-73.874282
If you need more info or want to arrange carpooling, give me a call on Friday after 7:00PM at (613) 224-8507

Yep. None of the bad luck others had... Even though 4 paddlers tried (and succeeded) in negociating a 45-foot cascade that happens to be in a nice old lady's backyard...
At the put-in, I even managed, after 20 minutes of trials, to stuff my broken toe in the bootie. It was painful as hell, but it was that or shuttle bunny duty for me.
We made a friend, a nice paddler named Caroline, who offered us her backyard as take-out! Hopefully we'll see her again soon.

Will you guys be doing it again soon

Well, the level is going down fast... Stay tuned, often things get decided on Thursday. But this Thursday is Reel Paddling Festival in town...
