Can you give us directions to the wave?  Is that the one near the ruins?

Hi Adam, going towards Gatineau, turn right after the bridge onto the first street, Lucerne Street. Drive to the end at B?gin Street. Turn right and go to the end of the street to the statue. You have arrived!

See you there!

You did not miss anything. Most people could not even catch the green wave, except for a surfer dude with a rope, and Cindy who surfed 5-6 seconds... The bottom of the river really has changed a couple springs ago, it looks like we lost the nice wave we had... --C.

the water jumped to 58.7,  according to my records it is good at 58.4, maybe the water was to high.   dechanes should be in too.

The Beachburg sections was at 17 today, and still on its way up.
I've heard that it takes 2-3 days for that water to reach Ottawa.
If that's the case, I think Jon is right.  We may have Champlain for a few days at least!

Ran the middle yesterday.  At 17 things begin to flush out.
Phil's is all but gone.
Sattler's is an angry wave.
LNN is just two large overlapping holes.

It's almost at 59 now! The eddy is definitely in--maybe we should go BEFORE the weekend, in case it does not last that long! The water is still reasonably warm. --C.

Well guys...

I drove up to Bate Island tonight at 18:00, braving the nocturnal local fauna with a flashlight in my hand.

There is a strong correlation with the water level upstream, at Britannia, and the waves at Bate Island. But somehow these waves seem to depend on the level downstream, as determined by the various dams at Chaudi?re falls.

I turns out that even though the level is almost 59 m on the upstream gauge, there is unfortunately not much to surf at Bate island right now.

The trend is fortunately upwards, so let's hope that it gets better! A part of the Rauch family will be our scouts tomorrow morning, so we should know for sure!

I was a little confused myself christian, as when I went there the level was at a level I had surfed before, and there was nothing.
