The section that was the CUKC race, what's it like, would it be a good spot for a lap or two after work one day if shuttle could be set up?
-
Short and pointless if you ask me..Id actually rather run laps at Champlain....But to e honest..Id rather drive 30 minutes and run the Petite Nation or go to Blakeney Rapids...

Thanks, knew it was pretty short. I drive right by it on my way home so thought I'd post and see what the feedback was.

Yeah, I participated in the race and although it was bigger than I expected (the waves were almost as big as what you would see on Lower No Name), I would also rather play at Champlain assuming that it's in. But if you want to go down a train of large waves (when water level is high enough), then it's an option.
It took me 5 min 36 sec from start to end of the race. So it's short... or I'm incredibly fast.... I'll let you choose.

I'm incredibly fast....well thats what she said...
Here.. fixed it. 8) ;D ;)

Andrew I would say it is worth it, at a high level like when we ran the the race( as Luc said), its is a little short but thats why u do laps, big fun wave trains and a good way to get into shape for spring.

Since Luc ran it a creeker (fast boat), your speed/mileage may vary...

OK, good input from all.
Well, if there is anyone interested in doing some laps one day after work/school hours on the Rideau I'd usually be able to make it over to the river not too long after 4:30.
If not, Champlain is not a bad distance from the office either and I hope to make it out some Thursdays (or other days) for sure.
