Title: Membership number or ID?

I was wondering if we were given some kind of membership number and if so were I could find it. The Ottawa Paddle Shack now require a club membership number for purchase discounts. Thanks

What? I bought my pfd the other day and they never asked anything... Although she did ask me a bunch of questions.. lol Perhaps we should have a secret handshake or word.

The CdB has never issued membership numbers/cards. I don't even think the Ottawa River Runners issue membership cards either, or at least I never received one when I was a member.

It would add another administrative tasks for the membership person.

Maybe we could get Mr. Potvin to approach Paddle Shack and enquire about the change.

I second Mr. Potvin's inquiry... ;)

I can't speak for everyone, but I bought many things (including my PFD as well last month) and had no issues. I just informed them of the CdB 15% discount on regular priced items (except for boats and only part of the Paddle Shack section) and that was it.

Mr. Potvin has just sent a mesage to Mr Cook on FB regarding htis situation. He will post the results of this query as soon as he gets it.

Bill and I went to Paddle Shack and spoke to Jason, the owner. He says it's an oversight and should not happen again. Just identify yourself as a CdB member and you will receive the CdB discount.

Thanks Paul. I did still receive my discount the last time I was there, but I was told by the young lad at the cash to try to get a club member's number for next time. If it's resolved then, tant mieux!!  :)
