Folks, I have lost my Werner Player paddle at McCoy's rapids on the Upper Ottawa. It's a Werner Player, straight shaft, with a black shaft and the orangey fibreglass blades. I believe the length is 194 cm. I had written my name and phone number on one of the blades, but it wasn't with the best marker (it was with a blue permanent marker).
I lost the paddle on McCoy's after Corner Wave but before the Horseshoes. We searched the bay pretty extensively, but were not able to locate it.

We found your paddle. Someone placed on the rocks at Horseshoe - surfers right.
Dave has it and I think will bring it to Whispers on Thursday
There was also a purple top of somekind there - we left it. Hopefully it will find its owner.

Sweet! I haven't made it out to Whispers yet this season: this Thursday will be a perfect time to join in :)
What time do you usually get to the pub?

Just gotta mention that this is one miraculous paddle... in terms of it not being stolen!
Not only was it left at the rocks at Horseshoe, when we found it we had another paddler who was doing a quick park'n'play
at Babyface bring it back to the putin, where it stayed on the ground next to my car for the duration of our river trip.
Good to see, especially after hearing a story about a boat stolen from the roof of a car in Beachburg earlier this season...

Most people are honest. Of course, they don't receive much attention for it. :)

Not to take anything away from everyone involved but I think it helped having the name and phone number on the paddle.
I went out and bought ink to mark up our paddles...
