I'm no expert but I've had my eye set on running the 7 Sister's one of these days. I'm noticing the levels have been dropping slowly and I believe a good level to run these is in the low 20's but I've heard under 30 should be doable for many.
With this rain, I'm not sure it's going to keep dropping... but regardless, I'm going to keep an eye on it. If it is appropriate by the weekend and IF I can find a few others willing to take our time and actually setup proper safety, I'd LOVE to run these.
Anyone care to tell me I'm right or wrong? And if anyone else would be interested in attempting these if the water is good?
-
Falls are good to go and forgiving between 20-30. Just a little pushier...
Alot of folks have been keen to go.. Im keeping an eye on the levels as welll... with the rain in the forcast, its gonna go up!
Im keen for a early afternoon run during the week and depending if I work or not during weekend, id be down!

I've wanted to do these, but this weekend might not be good. arghhh. >:(
-
still at 26. Maybe...I could aim for a friday after work mission....
-
I'm taking Friday off to do that section with one of my buddies. I was not planning to do the falls but however, if there are people from the club that would like to join us I'd give it a try for sure! We are planning to be at the put-in at around 10 am. ;)
-
I might join as well. Not sure I will do the falls but I would be glad to do safety (and maybe video too).

Salut Adam, vendredi o? ce weekend?
-
For me it would definitely be either Friday night or the weekend since I can't take any time off easily.
But again, this is dependent on the water levels...

I am free Friday starting at 13:00. It's nice to have a large-ish group (5 or more) to set up safety and cameras... Above 25, the ferry between #1 and #2 can be tricky if you lose balance after #1.
Note that looking at the water level graph, which appears to be stabilizing around 27 m^3/s (see below), and considering the forecasted rain, the river is very likely to rise between now and Friday. If so, it might reach 60 m^3/s (my bet).

Christian is right... The ferry becomes tricky.. running #2 alone is always another easy/safe option.
Also, level is currently 28 and rising at +1.3 cms an hour. And theres buttloads of rain in the forecast. Above 30, id run only #2 #3 #7 myself. anyways.. trying to get friday off to join, even if for a quick lap on the seuil elizabeth run. if it raisn alot.. blanche might come in.
