Title: Hazard at the Beaver Eagle section...
Post by: ChristianG on September 17, 2013, 04:10:48 PM
...well, in addition to the Class V run itself! Which claimed Luc's brand new pair of gloves last Saturday, and added decorations to my new helmet.

For those who want to put-in by sliding down the uppermost slide just below the dam, be aware that the little pour-over that follows contains two metal L-sections sticking up that could seriously damage a boat or a paddler, see pictures below. This is what I was trying to describe Saturday, after Todd and Luc went down that little drop...

Otherwise, this section is amazing, even when doing part of it limbo-style...

just dont go in them ..no? If you think you cant avoid these two obvious metal L brackets on a class 2 drop, you certainly dont belong in a class V haha

That simple? No. Anybody who's ever been there during a release knows that a lot more water flows then and the metal bars are under the surface. These photos were taken when there was no release and are on the AWA website.

Ahhhh well you didnt mention that more water flows through there on release days! Cause whats pictured above is harmless at that level ;)
