Title: Sunday Sept 29 - Pump house race
Post by: Larry W on September 25, 2013, 12:15:47 PM
hi

The Ottawa River Runners is holding their annual "Fun" race this weekend. Details can be found on their website.
If there are at least 3 participants paddling plastic (non-slalom) boats, there will be separate class or we will be lumped in with the Masters'  division.

There is also an Open Boat race held in the afternoon, (I am guessing solo and tandem categories)

Currently the flow through the Pump house is on the low side, but I still expect the course to be a challenge because the gates are usually placed in weird locations.

I plan on entering the race just to give'er a try.

hi

The course has been set ... gates series  4-5 and 16,17,18, and 21,22,23 are tricky.

Registration starts at 9am. Race at 10 am
Also took a tandem canoe for a trial run.

Hope to see some CdBers out there.
