Title: Paddling Sunday May 4th?
Post by: SimonN on May 01, 2014, 09:30:41 PM
Is there anyone who is heading out somewhere on Sunday? Elizabeth and I wanted to head out but would like some more skilled people with knowledge of the river. We don't have a place in mind but I do need to be in Montreal that evening by 1800hrs so we should probably start early ish. Anybody's got an idea?

Class 3+ big water for the most part... Entry is class 4. and if theres a tree still jammed in the left side of the canyon then you better not mess up but you can always walk it or put in below. If you scout and eddy hop (although eddies are rare at these flows in the canyons.)... plan 3 hours. If you just run it blind and bomb it... i usually do it in less than an hour. ;)

Might be able to join! What time were you thinking?

Not sure what a good meeting place would be but since the wave at Champlain looked so sweet today, I wouldn't mind meeting at Bates Island and playing on the wave before 10:30.  :)  If anyone has a better meeting place, please post.
