Hoping to find two three paddlers to paddle Gatineau and surf High Tension.
-
Maybe we can plan for a mid week run in the next few weeks.
-
How about Monday??
-
Pretty sure I am not available, but if anything changes I will let you know...
-
I can do monday. We need at least one more.
-
Me and my friend are in for Monday. If we are only 3, we can arrange for a shuttle service at bonnet rouge and take only one car up.

I'll drive and this will make sure we have two vehicles. Sandra are you in? That would make 4!!!!!
-
What time/meeting place?
-
Bonnet rouge 10:30 am. We are leaving from val des monts and cantley, we can always arrange for car pool at the police station corner of the 366 and the 5, just beside the bridge. We parked a car there in the past a few times.

I will meet you at Bonnet Rouge 10:30 am.

Big water...of course I want to go. But I won't know until tonight if I can. I will text you Robert if I can go and maybe we can drive up together.

I've never done the Gat at these sorts of levels before, and I'd like to but probably not this time.
From what I understand of when to hit this spring-run, you may find the levels to be higher than what you are wishing for. I believe that the main objective is High Tension, and that is good to go between 20 and 25 on the BR gauge from what I hear. That gauge was reading 22 on Thursday before the rains and it hasn't been updated since. The levels on this page have been updated for Fri and Sat:
http://ottawariver.ca/river-levels-flows.php
From looking at notes I made of last years flows, yesterday's 164.53 reading would equate to ~28 on the BR gauge. Perhaps 27, but it is not likely to be any lower.
The levels should be staying quite high for a while with the way the inputs are behaving upstream. The Gat. above the Baskatong Reservoir is significantly above its previous 38yr old record for this date:

Anyhow, I'm sure it can be an entertaining river above 25 as well, just be careful!

For those of you concerned all the big rapids can be easily walked. It is pool drop and after high tension it is the WALL which all water feature with really no consequence and a big tongue. Hope to see everybody there.

Anybody get a hold of Rafting Compant Bonnet Rouge to find out the level? I get no answer.
-
The level is at 22, I won't be able to make it, I have to much stuff to do around the house. I have a big family party at my house
next Saturday so have a lot of things to prepare.
-
Ok. Richard and friend are out. We'll have to post pone. Unless we have more people. Who is in?
-
I guess it is off to Champlain ... not High Tension but ....
-
Apparently the level is higher than 22, about 25, so much that the Transformer wave is NOT in...
