- maybe post what food item you are bringing to share ... so we don't end up with 20 salads and no dessert items
- questions

Is anyone going up on saturday that would be willing to carpool? Return time is completely flexible, and I would be open to camping, a day paddle leaving in the afternoon, or a day paddle leaving later at night.

I am gone all next week on a canoe trip to frontenac, so I won't be on again until friday evening, but would appreciate any posts that people know of ahead of time. I will be available by text next friday evening, and will check the forum as soon as I can on friday evening as well.

Thanks!
Jordan

Yes, it is play boat friendly.  There are long flat water paddles in between rapids though.

There's nothing about the shuttle cost on the website.  How much is the bus ride to the put in?

The club pays for the shuttle ... You don't have to pay anything for the group shuttle. This is club event so the we take the shuttle as a group and paddles the river as a group.

Last year there was a rafting option for non-kayakers - will there be anything alike this year?

I will come with all the stock for the preparation of potatoes and corn.

Going to need a little some help in the morning to prepare potatoes.

I will also bring a salad with cucumber from my garden

I’ll be attending as well, coming up on saturday morning, so Jordan if you’re still looking for a ride let me know (return Sunday pm).

Look forward to meeting you all and my first CDB outing.

In order for a rafting trip to occur someone has to co-ordinate the activity.

Rafting trips can be arranged for the non paddlers! For information on rafting, please contact Isabelle Gagnon, the owner of Bonnet Rouge, through the website link.

The rafting trip would be best organized by the people interested in that activity.

Hey!

I am posting this on behalf on Simon. He his thinking of coming with his daughter and would like to know if it is possible to become a member. Also, is there anybody else thinking of coming with children?

As for myself, I will probably go for the day only and leave shortly after dinner.

See you there.

Can't comment on the kid thing, but to become a member, not a problem at all of course. $20 is a family "pass". So both his daughter and himself would be registered. Larry's the guy for registration, but Simon can sign up online now and pay using PayPal if he wishes. Otherwise, he can go and download the form on the registration section of the website http://cdb-ottawa.com , fill it up and bring it along with $20 at BeastFeast. Then make sure he gives it to Larry specifically.

Membership is over at the end of 2014, so new membership dues would be due officially January 1st, but the final deadline to pay your dues is around Newcomer's Day. If you haven't paid by then, you're cut off from the forum.

If Simon has any questions, tell him to PM me on Facebook (we're "friends").

Frida is still amusing herself in Europe so no kids from my side this year. Simon may want to contact Cindy, her younger daughter should be exactly the same age as his.

I am beginning to think you don't like us anymore

There will be blank membership forms on-site. The new $20 are waterproof.
