The Rouge is at 27.51 and dropping. If and when it falls below 20cms I want to run the 7 sisters and I'd like to know how many others would be interested.
-
I'm in for sure
-
I'm game.
-
Not to burst anyone's bubble... I've been watching it for quite some time as well. It has been dropping nicely but with the rain in the forecast, I don't foresee it dropping that low anytime soon. These guys seem to agree based on the projection at the bottom. http://www.cehq.gouv.qc.ca/suivihydro/graphique.asp?NoStation=040204
Ah... I've been wanting to do those for a long time... if only the water levels would cooperate.
-
That's okay, I can wait untill it drops.
-
It's up to 50cms. Luc you jinxed it.
-
Current predictions show it may be below 20 next weekend:

id love to come if it ever drops below 20
-
If only it would stop frigin rainin
-
I was there yesterday. 60 m/s 'ish. Nice and pushy.
-
The current trend puts the level below 20cms by Sunday or Monday as long as we don't get very much rain between now and then.
-
Ran 2-3,4,7 yesterday @ ~30.8 cms. There were lots of folk there and the lines went well. Many people styled 5-6, but it looked like a little too much for me.
Regardless, they're in and they're fun, and the level is still dropping :)
Get 'em while you can.

Level is 27 and climbing slowly.
Any interest in running Saturday?

Too high for me.
-
Gah! They're still climbing. 26 for one day last week might be the lowest we'll get to see this year unless we all do a sun dance for hot weather and no rain.
-
26 for one day last week...
Indeed, that's what it was Friday. A bit too high for my taste unless a very experienced crew is present to do safety below drops. The last drop's rooster tail still throws you against the rocks below. So we just ran the usual rapids, good entertainment as usual. At this level, the seal launch requires some finesse in order not to land flat...
The level will likely not go down until next August...

Damn, we need a dam! Club controlled of course.
-
I'm not sure if this is still the case, but if we get another warm Sat or Sun when the water is <30cms then there's bound to be many paddlers setting up a solid amount of safety (if you're patient). When I went a few weeks ago there were people with throw bags already set up at 3, 4, and 6.
-
Ha! Nice.
Last Friday there was a total of four paddlers on the river--the four of us... Including one playboat.

Well, looks like not this year.
-
Yeah, I guess it just underscores how quick off the mark we have to be when they do drop below 30.
Oh well. It's fall and there are plenty of other places that are awesome right now.
