The plan:
Gravel pit to golf course
Meet in Ottawa: 9 am Eagleson Park and Ride to set up car pools.
or approx 10:45ish at the put in https://www.google.ca/maps/@45.8870054,-77.3195244,14z?hl=en
(https://www.google.ca/maps/@45.8870054,-77.3195244,14z?hl=en) at the corner of Rantz road where the river meets the road.
- it could be a redemption run for some - levels are about the same as HOHW race day.
- or maybe you have a new boat such as Blunt to try out.
- Some good play at Rocking horse
- Class III/IV river ... water is still a bit cool, dress accordingly
- weather forecast - sunny and warmish but frost warning up the valley overnight Friday
- the Chip Pit in Cobden should be open for the apres paddle french fries.
Post up in this thread if you are willing and able to take part in the adventure.

Ouch, I hope he is ok!
Where did he do it?
-
Suicide ... left channel ... stuck in a sticky hole halfway down that he told me to not to go into ... Too bad Bill didn't listen to his own advice.
Bill is OK. His pride might have taken a beating.
Just for Paul ... we will be naming all the rapids in the future Fluffy Bunny.

Like I would do a rapid called suicide!
Paul:)

Well, Bill was just unlucky. He likely tried to ferry above what appeared to be an innocuous hole, and dropped in it sideways. Otherwise the rapid was quite manageable. Rapid names often are overstated...
Heck, I should know about dropping into a hole... I was sucked into the big hole at Catwalk (rookie mistake) and I would likely still be in it side surfing if it wasn't for my skirt imploding!
At least I know that a Jackson Villain, with two big air bags in the back and two small ones in the front, can still be paddled when full of water...
