I was planning to rent a boat for the Kipawa this weekend but all of Paddle Shack's medium size creek/river running boats are out until Saturday or reserved. All they have is a large Karma and I am worried it will be too big. (I'm 172 and the range is 165 to 300).
Anyone have something that they would be willing to loan/rent me where I would be more in the middle of the range?

I just picked up a very well used Prijon Kompressor the other day that you are welcome to take a spin in as long as you have a good beer supply.

I test drove it last night at the pump-house, and all went reasonably well. I wasn't happy with the outfitting the way I had it set up but that is all probably easily adjustable.
The Kip is a longish run and you want to have a relatively comfortable boat so be careful with whatever you choose. I'll likely be taking my Fluid Solo; I got the Kompressor more for multiday trips where me and my gear might get up to the midpoint of 180lbs.

Hey Larry...
Dave's boat might indeed be appropriate. By today's standards, at 70 gallons it is a small creek boat if one wants to run actual creeks, but would be fine for running the Kipawa, just like a Diesel 70 or Mamba!

Hey, thanks Dave.
Lets talk on the phone to sort out details, also for driving up. I am at 613-979-2130.

Looks like I was right: This boat is perfect for a river like the Kipawa, so fast! Larry piloted it effortlessly it seemed Saturday!
