The CdB Beast Feast will be at the Bonnet Rouge Camping Site near Maniwaki.
The date is the weekend of August 7-9.
Some people head up Friday evening to camp rather than rushing around Saturday morning.
Check out the Bonnet Rouge website for directions, http://www.bonnetrougerafting.com/
DO NOT MISS IT!!! IT IS THE PREMIER EVENT OF THE CDB CLUB!
MANY PADDLERS THAT YOU SELDOM SEE AND OF COURSE ALL THE REGULARS WILL BE THERE!
It will be a weekend of camping and running the Gatineau River. You can find info and level for the river here: http://quebecwhitewater.com/en/river-level/view/32-gatineau-maniwaki
Great beach for sun bathing, swimming and playing (volleyball, etc..) and great surfing right at the camping site!
Bring your significant others, rafting escort-trip can be arranged for the non paddlers!
Once again Larry Wong will be our Beast Master, preparing a 20lb.+ side of roast beef and a couple salmon fillets for the Saturday evening dinner
We need volunteers to take care of the corn and potatoes, contact someone on the executive if you`d like to help out.
Prior to the downriver portion of the day, some kitchen prep has be done with some helping hands, and a corn husking circle created after the day on the river. You will need to bring your own plate and cutlery.
Please reply to this post to let us know how many will be attending, and use this thread to set up rides. A post will be made with more info shortly.
Thanks, CdB Exec

This is next weekend everyone! See you all there.
I will be heading up on friday night and staying till sunday.
I hope to see a lot of you all there!

Would anyone have vehicular room for one more with paddling and camping gear? (I live near Parkdale and Gladstone.)
I'm hoping to paddle both days, and while I have a mild preference to leave Ottawa on Saturday morning, I can definitely go Friday evening (or even mid- to late-afternoon) instead!
And I'm happy to help out with gas money and/or driving! (Not to mention corn husking and other food-related help in aid of the Feast!)
I'm really looking forward to this... I've been busy, then away, then sick, and then away again throughout later June and all of July; I haven't paddled since Newcomer's Day!!! :(
Feel free to message me directly if you can offer transportation!
Cheers,
=Peter

I'll drive up from New Edinburgh early Saturday morning and return Sunday evening, just in case anyone would like to share a ride.

A friend of mine (non CDB member is coming and he is either wanting to join up there or join online before). Also Laura will be coming as well.
Thanks,

The Exec Members always bring the old-fashioned paper forms at Beast Feast in case new members arrive and want to join.
See you there,
Paul :-)

Hi again,
I'm still looking for a ride for this weekend, preferring a Saturday morning departure, but available to go Friday afternoon or evening, and returning after Sunday paddling!
Anyone have room for one more (plus gear), to be picked up near Parkdale and Gladstone?
Thanks for considering!

Good suggestion, Paul; won't be able to make it though.
And I've made arrangements to travel with Dani on Saturday!
See you all there!

Right in the middle where the fire pit is... It's a big field. I'll go Friday (today).

Thank you to all of the organizers of the beast feast! Despite the fact that I didn't run the river I still had an amazing time and the food and the company was superb, as usual! The Sunday morning coffee seemed to be a hit, so as long as I can get to the feast there will be coffee!

Yes, another wonderful Beastfeast, thanks to all of you! My special thanks go to Anita for playing guitar and singing (and thanks to Laura for making Robin to stop singing), to John for the declicious salmon, to Larry for keeping the others away from the salmon by preparing a beast, to Natalie, Laura, Robin and Jonathan for joining us, and thanks to the "oldies" for showing me some new and definitely exciting lines!
Already looking forward to Beastfeast 2016!
