Hi everyone,
Last year, with the birth of my daughter (very poorly timed, I don't know what she was thinking either), I opted not to participate in the raft race since I wasn't sure I was going to be there. This year, I've decided I might as well get this organized.
So, who's interested in joining me for an official CdB raft at Hell or High Water 8? The event is happening on Saturday, May 14th in Petawawa.
For a full team, we need 6 people to sign up. So I still need 5 people for a full raft.
Last year the club paid for the full raft team. Would this still be an option? Exec?

I'm in.

Me too!

Dominique et moi seront dans le raft! Woohoo!

We need one more person for a full team. Anybody?
FYI, I've registered a raft under the raft name : "CdB - S.S. More Powerful Than Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, and the Incredible Hulk Put Together"
For those unaware, it references this scene: http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/familyguy/images/1/11/Peter's_Boat.png/revision/latest?cb=20101031000014

I am interested!

Full team! Yay! I'll submit the names. If there's enough for a second boat, by all means, but someone else will have to take care of the second boat and organize it. I'll take care of this one. :)

I bet, in a rubber boat, that Railway is much more fun going backwards.
-
I could be in if needed, whether for the 1st boat or a 2nd, I should be at the race anyway!

I am happy to pay for myself! I think it will be super fun!

We'll bring up paying for a CdB raft up at the exec meeting at the end of march and put it to a vote. When that has happened we'll post here with the decision.
If anyone has any issues with this, you are welcome to contact me, or any of the other exec members and voice those concerns.

Thank you! That is what I was asking for.
Regardless of the decision, I will be on that raft. And personally, I'd be very happy even if it's half paid.
-
The decision was made to partially subsidise one raft.
The deal would be that the club pays $120 of the raft fee. This would mean each participant would have to pay $5 towards being on the raft.
If there is interest in a second raft we can discuss that separately.
Luc will take the lead on this, so please let him know if you are interested.

If there is enough interest for a second raft (and quickly!) and if there are funds and the exec agrees, that would be great! Otherwise, I'd be willing personally to split the current amount over two rafts if needed. Just for the record.

I've already said this personally to Jon and Christian, but a thank you to the exec for supporting a raft team. Merci.

Sure I can go with the flow; I'm in. And thanks for organizing!
