Alright. Eagleson P&R @ 8:00!

Eagleson P&R??? are you sure... that means I have to go all the way west... come back east to the 416 to go South
there's a really nice Park and Ride a Fallowfield and Woodroffe, called the Fallowfield P&R which we have used before.
please confirm ..

Agree with Larry. Should be Fallowfield P&R not Eagleson.

Right. My mistake. At Fallowfield then! --C.

Great day for laps on the Taylorville section. It seemed there were more Canadiians than US paddlers taking advantage of the release. If you want to get an intro to creeking this short stretch has a bit of everything. Nice slides, holes to miss, small waterfall to boof and a tight dog leg left with ledges and holes to keep you focused. Two weekend releases left. Get on it if you can.

Yes. Very nice little stretch of water that is also spectator-friendly!

Watching Christian's 2 attempts on one of the drops ... made it entertaining for the spectators.
As Rob says ... it's a drop/pool setup so there is plenty of time to gather your equipment if by chance you become separated from your boat.

Well, mechanical failures do not count. I would have stayed in the boat and rolled if I my knees hadn't popped the skirt off... This actually happened while I was right side up, with the nose of my boat trying to climb onto the big rock (and me falling backwards--hence the knees popping the skirt).
Similar thing happened this summer right at the top of Hollywood on the Kipawa, while bracing on the wave that claimed Luc, and I had to run this Class IV rapid without a backband, definitely not a good idea to flip.
It turns out that the Race Face mountain bike elbow protectors are quite useless in water, I have a big scab on my elbow now...
I since tied two stopper knots on those darn backband ropes, so loosing my backband while paddling will be a thing of the past.
