~5 inches of rain forecast for Upper NY State and the Laurentians between now and Saturday. Just saying eh!

Hmmmm.....for sure. I haven't paddled either the blanche nor duNord before, but could be game. The Rouge looks like it will be flowing in the 90-100+ level which is medium high.

I don't know any of the NY rivers well enough to really recommend. But of potential interest:

St. Regis, Middle Branch: It is running but from what I understand it is better to hit this one when the flows are higher yet.

Grass: Upper runnable right now and still growing. Too high!

Independence: Should be in and on the high side of runnable, but this might be too much for me as I haven't been in my boat like forever.

Fish Creek: Upper runnable right now, but it should be dropping quite a bit in the next 24 hours. Very long drive for one day of paddling.

So, I am going to be game to get out tomorrow for sure and will temporarily suggest the Rouge but I am flexible. We can discuss at this evenings gathering and formulate a plan.
