Title: Skootamata - June 3rd
Post by: Larry W on June 02, 2017, 07:33:00 AM
Looks like the levels are holding around 20 cms.

Meet: Eagleson park and ride for car-pooling
time: 8:30 am

or at the put-in in Flinton around 10:30 am

http://www.whitewaterontario.ca/rivers/index.php/Skootamatta (http://www.whitewaterontario.ca/rivers/index.php/Skootamatta)

it's a class III-IV river ... the canyon is the draw which is about 800 m long of continuous rapids.

here's Jon's video from last year

there won't be any snow in June ... :-)

Does anyone have an extra spray skirt for a large size cockpit? I am borrowing Adrian's Burn but he needs his skirt for his play boat.

Thanks,

flow 17.2 cms at noon ... Christian joined the flow for a bit.

Probably wouldn't run the river much lower because the canyon would get quite bony....

Seems every time we paddle the Skoot,  the river seems to wants some "tribute" in the form of a swim or two (I know)...
Great river, the gorge section is amazing.
