Title: Riviere Achigan Saturday May 4
Post by: Bill Schlarb on May 02, 2019, 08:59:23 PM
Based on gauge levels and discussions at Whispers this evening, the consensus is to paddle the Achigan on Saturday

It is a  class 2+ -> 3+ river with some larger drops that can easily be carried around and is located in the lower Laurentians about 2 hours from downtown Ottawa.

Plans are to meet at the Tim Hortons in Saint-Sophie at 10:30 AM   GPS:  45.820308, -73.901017

OR at the Tim Horton's at Autoroute 50 and Montee Paiement at  8:15am

The usual caveats about spring paddling gear etc. apply. Please feel free to use this post/thread to arrange rides.

I'm thinking of joining the group.  I would like to car-pool from Monte Payment.

is a map so we don't have to go ducky style down the highway .... I assume most people have a device that allows inputing of gps co-ordinates

What a nice day on the river with the sun and a great group of 8 paddlers.
Take time to stop at St Jerome Microbrasserie Dieu du Ciel  and back home before darkness
