Title: Champlain - what's it like these days?
Post by: Sean on July 03, 2008, 07:39:50 AM
There was another post like this a day or two ago, but I didn't see any replies and can't find it, so I'll ask again:

What's the wave like at Champlain??
Who lives closer than I do and has been by in the past couple days?
Paul, or anyone else, what was it like on Canada Day?
  Which boat should I bring?

Thanks!

Sean

The second wave hole looked pretty weak last night and pretty green.  The water level may come up a little with all the rain, we'll see what it's like tonight.  Longer boats may have a chance on it.

Deschines is in and good!

The Champlain wave is still green but once you make the ferry and drop in it''s still pretty good (spins, blunts are good to go).  The character of the wave may change and get back to what we like (big foam pile etc)if they lower the amount of flow that they're lettting out at the dam downstream.  As Grahame said, deschenes is great right now and so is remics if you're willing to do the paddle/walk circuit.

Cheers,
Chris
