Title: King of Clubs
Post by: jonyak on July 14, 2015, 08:13:57 AM
Hey!

I am going to try and get a group together to participate in this years King of clubs.

I hope some people will be interested.

This is the aug 2 weekend. You can find the info here: https://www.facebook.com/events/826329317449729/

Please think about participating, this is a really fun day on the water, with lots of events, and lots of good people.

If you could reply here to say whether you can make it or not, that would be great.

Thanks.

Since you want "not" replies, I will not be participating. I've had a canoe trip booked that weekend for many many months now. Sorry. Good luck!

Bump!

This is coming up soon.

We need at least 5 people with one woman to compete. If you are not interested in competing, consider volunteering to do times, or safety boat.

This event is a great opportunity to get out, paddle some different lines, challenge yourself and meet some people from the greater paddling community! Its also a great opportunity to show off our club.

If we can't get enough people I will personally be volunteering to help out.

Ok, Well they required a response by this week, and due to a lack of interest I have told them we will not be participating.

I will be up there that day, doing timing or helping in some other way.

Christian,

When are you going to go up?

I might just go up for the sunday.

Paul, are you still going? I'm planning to go tomorrow and would be in favor of a very late, or at least a late run.

Hi Dani,

Not sure about tomorrow. Might actually just go Sunday too.
If I manage to get up tomorrow (hard week) and decide to go for an overnight or
two I'll text you.

Paul:)

Trip report:

Level was purported to be at -1.5 though we didn't check. McCoys was not that mean looking or hard. Many different lines for me at Butchers knife and Coloseum.

For a day where there was supposed to be no one from the CdB on the Ottawa it was great paddling with Christian and Dani. We saw Elizabeth and Annie. We also paddled a bit with Gwenne. We hooked up with Mathieu, RĂ©mi and Jacob after Push Button. At the takeout we ran into Jeffrey and Jessie and new members Laura and Robyn who will be joining us at Beast Feast!

Great day, good friends, great lines and good poutine of course!

Can't wait for Beast Feast now!

Cheers,

Paul  ;D
