Great, I'll likely join, but will have to dig a trench for my fig tree first:)

I will be there.
Jim,

I would like to go, but I will need someone to pick me up as my car is in a coma and I don't want to take the one other vehicle leaving the other 3 in my house with only bikes.
Thanks,
Bruce.

that would be silly to come to Westboro ... when it adds only another 1.5 km x 2 to my day

Have a good day. Pretty chilly, and we are going to get some household work done
-
It wasn't too chilly ... 13 degrees by the end of the day under the sun.
Nice day ... dodge the crowds. Yah there were others on the river too.

Indeed, Saturday was the nice day of the weekend. Nice weather lasted long enough for us (not so much for astronomy fans later that evening unfortunately).
I'd say conditions are still ok for drytop, regular pants/shorts as the water is still quite warm. I wore a drysuit and got wet and cool (not cold) from sweating in it...
There were other groups on the river, including a couple rafts chartered by Algonquin Coillege outdoors program. Two of those students were skilled enough to surf Garburator all day while their colleagues rafted.
It was good to see Jim try to surf Garburator--twice! It was a bit hard to catch. But surfing it was interesting, Bruce even stayed longer than he wanted... Pushbutton had 2 waves that could be surfed, the top wave wasn't too steep! And of course Babyface was nice and smooth, not bouncy at all. The 2nd 1/2 of Norman's was boily, but that's to be expected, and the first 3 waves were worth the trip!
All in all a great day! Perhaps the last chance this year, I hope home chores were worth it if you decided to do that instead...
