Well, we took out at the bridge too but used one of the rafting companies' parking lot. Locals indeed can be difficult to deal with. Best not to anger them too much since the urban failsafe we usually count on, a cell and 911, isn't available there. It's pretty red-necky there, but they'll have to change: once HW50 is completed, the flow of people from the cities through the land and rivers that the locals often only think they own will be a bit of a shock, a threat, but ultimately the motor for their economy. Whether they like it or not...-C.

Hey Daniel...

Due to a late start (and partly because one of us had worked in a casino until 3 am), Jacques, Theresa and myself ended up putting in for the Canyon run only in mid-afternoon today. We saw your red truck at the put-in, but we must have missed each other completely. I hope you had fun. The last drop of the actual Canyon was interesting to negociate, so to speak... Especially when chasing a swimmer and a boat. The river was considerably bigger than it was when we did it this spring.

It seem that the canyon will go below 120 even 100 this weekend, do you think it will be to high?

100 cms is very good level for the Canyon section, you should have a great time.
It's been run in canoe at 200 cms without a problem but it's a very fast trip...

Check the forecast and.... almost no rain in Greneville and the canyon still going down.. last week 226 this week 167 and now 138
http://www.quebecwhitewater.com/fr/info-debit

Last time I try it, it was so low that I hit rock at the entry of the canyon and I want to try it with more water....
I found, on some internet site, that the canyon is consider low (-40), medium(40-80), high(80-160) and could be done up to 400m3/sec ( but not by me!!)

Jacques and Christian: It seem that the canyon will go below 120 even 100 this weekend, do you think it will be to high?

If not,  lets go play in water! and I bring my trailer and we could co voiturer!

That should be a good level for the Canyon. Or the 7 Sisters, we did it last summer in our playboats at that level... Interested? I'm up for, say, something like the Rouge (Canyon or 7 Sisters, or other NY/QC creek) on Saturday, and maybe the Middle Channel on Monday! --C.

Rouge: 7 Sisters and Canyon - 160+ m3/sec
Still pretty high.
Rain forecast for today and tomorrow in Mont-Tremblant. This means the level will keep rising.
