Well, we took out at the bridge too but used one of the rafting companies' parking lot. Locals indeed can be difficult to deal with. Best not to anger them too much since the urban failsafe we usually count on, a cell and 911, isn't available there. It's pretty red-necky there, but they'll have to change: once HW50 is completed, the flow of people from the cities through the land and rivers that the locals often only think they own will be a bit of a shock, a threat, but ultimately the motor for their economy.
