Priceless! I learnt on a Perception Pirouette Super Sport. 9' long, barely wider than my butt. Zero initial stability, and infinite secondary stability. In other words, paddling the boat wasn't unlike spinning a log... The  outfitting was also quite the torture device... I remember running the Jacques-Cartier Pont-Rouge section. I must have rolled 50 times, swam 5 times. And it's a class II-III run. A couple weeks later I got myself a Riot Booster, what a difference. But still not quite comfortable enough, I am much happier in my Jackson. --C.

Yep, I still wear that shirt sometimes. It fits me, but the paddling pants seem a bit tighter, guess they must have shrunk over the years..... ;D

The first picture features the oh so rad Perception Pirouette S, introduced in 1993.  11', 63 gal.  Perception still has archived catalogs - they advertised it as "designed for super surf and serious airtime".  I think they meant pirouette move airtime, not donkey flip airtime...

Who the hell are all those people anyway?

The wave has definetly changed ,  no longer is the great pocket wave/hole that you can see in the second photo next to the eddie , I remember seeing the first big cartwheels , Nigel, in a perception whip-it ,

John , your still wearing that purple shirt ;D
