I was at champlain last night at 7:30  pm , I thought it was great , I would surf the front wave and one 3 feet behind it , then drop to the main wave after a while , and eddie in off the  main wave before going all the way down and there were no eddie issues, just peel off the wave before you get tossed off, the eddie is fine for the top half.

I'll be at Champlain @ 6:30Pm to get my boat. There will be people at Cham[plain in any case, even if it's still to check out the middle waves or practice ferrys and eddy turns.

Cheers,

Paul

Thursday CDB Paddle - Where?

Good Day!

The weather is not as nice as yesterday but id still like to get out on the water a bit!

Heres the situation around town..check all the spots yesterday.

Champlain - Shallow-ish.. No eddy..Walk back up for each ride.

Sewer - Big green wave, Nice big eddy, but not sure it will hold a paddler.

Deschenes - Eddy is big enough on channel left and fairly easy to catch. Right eddy, a little harder to catch but easier to get back on the wave. Wave is foamy, a bit hard to get on from the top if you catch too much speed, good for right side spints, small blunts and awesome long front surfs if you get on it!
Nice little boof practice wave at the bottom!

Pumphouse - I havent been this year, anyone has? I think its always great to be able to practice ferrys and the basic stuff once in a while..

Anyone has anything else in mind?
