I've got us covered for straps.  I'll bring you back to Barhaven, so that PJs can be applied at your wife's liesure.

Park and play for now, but we may be able to scrounge up a shuttle when we get there.  Play it by ear we will.

I'll text you Thursday when I'm leaving.

Cool! Thanks man! I'll have my gear at work with me to avoid detouring to Barrhaven. I'll be dropped off in the morning, so no bus :) call me before leaving your office. redacted. Do you need straps? I've got some, just let me know if I should bring them.

What did you want to do coming back? Shall you drop me at a park and ride or will you detour to Barrhaven? I just need to know so I can warn my wife not to get into her pjs otherwise.

Finally, if we have one car only, are we doing park and play then?

Luc,
We'll make it happen!  Thurston is not the worst detour.  Will your boat be with you at work, or do we need to extend the detour loop to Barhaven to pick it up?  No problem either way, as there'll be lots of daylight!  (please don't take your boat to work on the bus)

Hey Ryan, I TOTALLY want to go! I know you offered to pick anyone up along the way... but my position may not be super "along the way" as hoped. The only way I can go is if you/someone else can pick me up at work. 2191 Thurston Drive. Would that be doable? I'm definitely contributing to gas of course if that helps. I don't know where you live, but I'm assuming not Barrhaven :) I need to return there afterwards... if that's the case, you could drop me off at a park and ride along the way and I'll get my wife to come pick me up after.

Let me know. I was REALLY hoping someone would do something either this week or next during a week day since I can't go for the next few weekends and I have no car during weekdays since my wife needs it to go to/from work. I can take a day off... but this evening thing would work well too!

Let me know either way. Merci.

I have a long-standing tradition of taking advantage of the longest day of the year to paddle the Ottawa after work.  Usually, it's the 21st of June, but 2012 being a leap year, it's the 20th.  Since no one will be celebrating Christmas on the 24th, the Solstice Paddle won't be on the 20th.

I'll be done work at 2:30 in Orleans (Thursday), and can pick anyone up who's along the way, or meet anyone who's interested on the water.

I'm flexible to run, run from the Lorne, play at McKoy's or play at the Lorne.  We should have decent light and warm weather until 9:30ish.  It won't get much better than this!
