JN,

Do you know if you need tickets for this and if so in advance? Would you pick them up at Paddleshack?

Any info would be great.

Thanks.

Good Morning all,

Posting this on Behalf of Mike McKay and Brian McKenzie.

Friday, November 23, 2012.
7:00pm in EST..
4th Annual Movie Night presented by Trailhead Ottawa Paddle Shack: https://ottawapaddleshack.ca/

SAVE THE DATE: DETAILS COMING SOON

This is the fourth year of whitewater movie nights by Five2Nine and the third year of fundraising for First Descents Canada. These nights have been a great way for the paddling communities to come together at the end of the season and share in some good times.
...
As well, this has been a great opportunity to support a great cause. We have seen huge success for these nights raising over $5000 for FD Canada and bringing First Descents' success to Canada.

FD Canada is a program for young adult cancer survivors to challenge themselves via kayaking and outdoors. In 2011 we were able to hold the first ever FD camp in Canada with great success. Ten young adult cancer survivors attended the camp and 100% of the donations from the fundraiser went towards the program.

For more info see the video: https://vimeo.com/29738352 or check out http://www.firstdescents.org/

In 2011 we were able to raise $3000 towards the cause and are now using those funds towards establishing FD Canada as a registered charity and cementing the program for the future. This was a huge success as it was our highest amount of fundraising to date with our fundraisers.

For 2012 we are scaling back the movie nights to one city: Ottawa. This is always our biggest turnout and are hoping to repeat the same thing this year.

The more the merrier. Should be a great night!!
