7soeurs/sisters Festival - Celebrating Women in Whitewater!
Join paddlers from Ontario, Quebec, and beyond - in celebrating women in white water at the 9th anniversary of the 7soeurs/7sisters festival on the Gatineau River...
*Family camping on Saturday and Sunday July 19 and 20th, 2014.
*Paddling the mighty Gatineau in the company of the 7 Sisters (canoe, kayak, c1, raft, etc) on both days.
*Rendez-vous for the descent at 10 AM at the Bonnet Rouge campground
*Potluck supper Saturday night - bring a salad or a desert to share with everyone, and your meat for the grill. (BBQs available) byob.
*An evening of music on Saturday July 19th (bring your instruments)
*A splendid white Zephyr canoe, specially cut for a woman, will be offered in a silent auction on Saturday night thanks to the generous collaboration of Esquif (
www.esquif.com)
NOTE: this river is suitable for intermediate+ WW canoeists...if there are ladies who would to still participate by being paired up with a more skilled paddler or as a passenger in the raft, contact: ctrottier@ccapcable.com
