...and it took place on Pushbutton because on account of lack of water. Now, that was a real test of skill, as they were landing moves I can not even dream of doing on such a small wave/hole (they also used the top feature)...

The early rounds took place while Ben W., Robert M. and I were trying to surf Garburator. Those two had good runs, while I wasn't so lucky. We floated down and watched the rest of the competition. Adam Chappel did really well, earning a 2nd place junior I believe, while seniors had S. Wright 1st and EJ 2nd. We then played there until dark with Brendan F., Cooper, and Steve N., who let me try the new Core paddle from Steve Horvath (formerly from H2O)--watch this, as I think it is a good product and was told it would be priced 'in the middle'.

After which the KotC took place, without us, but that is another story...

The first Pan American Freestyle Kayak Championships will take place on Canada?s Ottawa River on Labour Day Holiday Weekend,
September 3-5, 2010. The feature is the world famous ?Garberator? or ?Garb? wave.
