yeah i figured it was higher than the first canyon.. it didnt look the same ans what ive ran...

last time i went..we put in at the culvert near where the HGW 323 is and parked on the side of the road... our other car was at my parents place... about .8kms after the whitewater ends! Where a little creek meets the river.. My folks land goes right to the water..! So if we go a bunch...im sure we can park a few cars there no prob! (if i ask nicely! haha)

I havent seen the water this high yet since my parents moved 3 years ago.... not that i was checking back then anyways...! What year is this!! ??

Yep. The section I'm talking about is between Lac Simon and Ripon. Interesting at high water, boring at low levels.

As for the first canyon seen in the video, here's what it looks like in flood. I must say that I was nervous running this, none of us had ever been there before (that day we put in below the strainer tree)... --C.

The section in the youtube video is called the First Canyon, not even close the the section in Ripon

Parking is an issue ,,, but there is trail on R_right permitting paddlers to run that section from the big rock that sits in the middle river to the end of the first canyon

speaking of the petite nation, its at 19 rght now! Was at 21 on Friday! Hopefully its sticks at that level untill I get my gear! looks like a fun run to do even with the cold water! :)

More... The put-in is the deck of Ivan's mom's cottage, and the take-out is in Ripon.

Here are a few (old) photos of a section of the Petite Nation not often run. It ends in Ripon. I wouldn't mind returning there, now that I can paddle a bit...
